I have been GMing for my friends since 2015. My style is very much an emphasis on a great session 0 and listening to my players to create a game and story that everyone can enjoy. Does your group wanna do dungeons after dungeons with a little bit of backstreet great let's start talking about character builds and I will start making some encounters. Has everyone decided they have a character idea and just really wanna see all the different ways they can role play as a mute bard let's try it out. Do people want to all be paladins fixing the world let's do it. I am a "yes and" GM. I do my best not to just use the word No unless there is an obvious reason why something cant happen "No you cant just flap your arms to fly" "but you could spend a fair amount of time building or searching for a sky skiff" I prefer running homebrew if parties are into it I also like going off the rails. I do not like railroading pcs. The only reason to do so would be because the players need direction. The most fun I have GMing is giving players a lot of tools and ideas. And then letting them build something with the money they have. Maybe a bar, maybe run a campaign to become the mayor. I prefer a group of 3-6 any more or less and pcs start to feel unheard or unable to do the things they will enjoy. I have no issue with people using ai just please let me know if you do

How Marcus Breyne (BrineShamanGaming) runs games

I love role-playing. I love when players really get into it. When a player is talking to a shop keeper just shows off all their quirks. I like sitting down and doing 1 on 1s to really craft your character and then developing a campaign once I know what the players want. I always have a grand plan at the start with little twists and turns. But its important to be ready to change things when the plans dont work out.
