About Leigh
I am a die-hard nerd living in a small village in the UK that is famous for bringing one of the most popular cheeses to the world. As a GM and TTRPG enjoyer, my love of the games started following my favourite YouTube channel starting a D&D series. This series, called Oxventure, lead to me starting my own games and getting into more games that are available on the marker. One thing lead to another, and 5 years later I have been fortunate enough to enjoy multiple games, witness many amazing role-playing events and moments that I will remember forever, and feel welcome in the wonderful community of TTRPG players and GM's. I am a lover of creating a world where we can lose ourselves and become immersed in. Whether as a player or GM, the feeling of playing your part in creating something that allows you to escape the world we live in and share your fantastical imagination with others is special. Outside of TTRPG's, I am an avid gamer, both PC and console gaming. My partner and I also enjoy board games whenever we get the chance when we are not being smothered by our rescue dog. I have taken up drawing as a hobby, something I have always had an interest in, and reading (the books I read are all sourcebooks, but it still counts!)

How Leigh runs games
My strength is story-telling when it comes to running games. I love creating a world that feels alive and that players can feel welcome in and like their actions have an impact. I love when players feel comfortable enough to role-play and embody their characters, and I encourage this wherever possible and whenever players feel confident to do so. When playing, my focus is ensuring enjoyment for the people at my table. I love challenging my players with puzzles and combat, but I never throw the characters into something they are not ready for. I always talk about limits and wants for my players before our games begin and aim to achieve these throughout the campaign. For the most part, the majority of my games are theatre of the mind, allowing players to create their own imagery for certain scenes. I provide visual aides for certain things (NPCs, important locations, etc.) and will happily provide battle maps as well to assist with players knowing what is going on. As mentioned previously, my main aim is to ensure my players feel comfortable when playing at my table. I want people to know they are always welcome to speak with me if they have any questions or concerns, and know they have a safe space to talk through anything with me. As a member of the queer community, I understand the role a PC can have in allowing you to explore your identity and be yourself, so I want my players to know they are welcome at my table and safe to explore.

Rules are...
There to be pushed. I will always play the games by the rules, but if a player comes up with something genius, I will always reward it, even if it means going against the rules.
Leigh's ideal table
My preferred table is a safe space for everyone to feel comfortable to explore a new world how they want to. I want my table to be somewhere people can feel comfortable being themselves and explore their identity should they want to. I also want my players to have fun over everything else. I love to add comedy into my games to break up what can be tense or scary moments, so having a good sense of humour and willingness to be silly is key.
