About Weird Hobbies
I've been running RPG games since I discovered Basic D&D when I was 11 years old. I do prefer older versions of games like AD&D 1st/2nd Edition, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and Call of Cthulhu, but I am familiar with most systems. I've been writing my own campaigns, and systems, since I was about 15. I also ran a Play-by-Email RPG/Wargame called Midgard as a professional DM for a couple of years, which was highly regarded by the players.

How Weird Hobbies runs games
I like to have a blend of roleplaying and combat, with players being rewarded for preparing for each situation they encounter. I also encourage players to find alternative ways of dealing with each encounter, to potentially avoid combat altogether. Adding player back stories to the game helps each player feel a real connection and investment in the world they play in.
