About Dan Mossman
I have been a roleplayer for most of my adult life starting in the 90s with systems like WoD and Tristat and then expanding into a broad range of others both crunchy and story lead. I LOVE the feeling of discovery that comes from exploration and mysteries whether from the world you're playing in or the NPCs and cultures you encounter. That's often what I try to give my players when I GM - moments of "Ohhhhhhh" or "Yes! That makes sense" or "WOW! I did not see that coming!" I'm a bit of a scaredy cat in real life (I can't watch horror movies on my own!) but my games often play with themes that touch on gothic or cosmic horror as I find those worlds fascinating. I'd say all my games are 'story forward' which doesn't mean I shy away from combat or game systems but just that I'm more focused on telling a good story than on strict rules interpretations and bean counting. I'm still human - I love my mounds of beans as much as the next gamer - they're just not always the main root of my games.

How Dan Mossman runs games
My games are roleplay and story lead. I REALLY want to create great moments of exploration, discovery and creativity. Combat plays a big role, as does adventure and intrigue but the dice are definitely there in service of the story and not the other way around. Besides that I've run games in all sorts of settings - fantasy, modern and sci-fi. I tend to run theatre of the mind but have been known to do maps and minis on occasion.

When it comes to voices
I do the best I can and have lots of fun with voices but I'm no pro voice actor so if I slip occasionally I hope you'll forgive me ;)
