About Posh Josh™️
𝓗𝓸𝔀 𝓓𝓸 𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓦𝓪𝓷𝓽 𝓣𝓸 𝓓𝓸 𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓼? Hey I'm Posh Josh 👋🏻 The irony being I'm not actually posh just British! I'm new player friendly 🫶🏻 I don't bite...the monsters do 🧌 My first D&D game I ran was in a storage closet under the stairs in a church community centre (unfortunately no Hogwarts letters arrived for me!🦉) that group started 8 years ago and evolved into a group still running and fumbling dice consistently to this day. 🎲 I like to run a balanced game of combat, roleplay and puzzles. I am heavily invested in the Theros setting, since reading it earlier this year (2025) I have been engulfed! 🔱 If nothing I have listed suits your schedule then message me, I will definitely run a custom game for you! I do one shots so you can try before you buy 😉

I became a GM because
No one else would take the mantle, so I did. 👑I stepped into GMing knowing only the chaos and responsibility, but those shackles became a calling. I love shaping worlds, guiding wild ideas, and creating moments players remember. It’s not duty anymore. It’s home. 🏠
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Funny ⤜ Flexible ⤜ Relaxed
How Posh Josh™️ runs games
For me, D&D has always been about laughing together, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If you’re cracking up over an outrageous plan to rob a vault, or my absolutely awful attempt at a character voice, then I know the table’s doing something right. 💯 If you’re looking for deeply immersive, Oscar-worthy NPC performances… you might want to keep browsing. My style leans into fun over formality: chaotic encounters, group-driven storytelling, puzzles to poke your brains, and NPCs who may all accidentally share the same voice. I follow the flow of the party, adapt to player energy, and happily herd you like adventure-hungry cats through whatever madness you unleash. 🐈⬛ If you enjoy relaxed vibes, big laughs, creative freedom, and a DM who’s here to entertain rather than impress, then you’ll fit right in at my table.

I deal with rules issues by...
Quickly running them how I interpret them in the game to avoid slowing it down, and adressing any issues after play and then usually making a change based on opinions and a vote if necessary. FOR DEMOCRACY!
Rules are...
Simple guidlines for play, they ensure fairness but are a framework for the table to have fun, some make perfect sense and others belong in the bin, I enjoy swapping stuff out on the fly if needed for Rule of Cool!
Posh Josh™️'s ideal table
At my table, the goal is an engaging, welcoming experience where players feel comfortable exploring the world, shaping the story, and enjoying the game at their own pace. I run sessions that are flexible and player-driven, with a strong focus on narrative flow, character choices, and shared moments at the table. While the worlds themselves can be dramatic, dangerous, or high-stakes, the atmosphere stays supportive, relaxed, and easy to settle into. This table is a great fit for players who: ✅ Enjoy story-forward gameplay without getting bogged down in strict rules precision. ✅ Appreciate natural banter alongside meaningful character moments. ✅ Like having creative freedom and room to experiment with ideas. ✅ Value a GM who keeps sessions moving smoothly and adapts to the group. ✅ Enjoy a tone that can shift naturally between tension, emotion, and lighter moments. ✅ Feel comfortable contributing ideas, roleplaying actively, or easing in at their own pace. Whether you’re brand new to tabletop games or a seasoned player, this table is about collaboration, immersion, and enjoying the adventure together. If you’re looking for a friendly, flexible game where the story comes first and everyone has space to shine, you’ll feel right at home here.

I love it when a player
Plays against how they are as a person and plays into how their character would react, I love the growth with it!
I think it's a red flag when players...
Look up stats of monsters for a fight, or a bosses stats and build characters around a bosses weakness. I have no issue with min/maxxing but building specifically to counter a boss is a no no. Leave Tiamats lack of paralysis immunity alone!
My perfect party mix is
Open minded people, in a game that requires teamwork its about bouncing off eachother and creating some fun memories.
