About Julia

Hello! My name is Julia, and I've been a Game Master since 2022. My favorite genre of TTRPGs to play are generally Sci-Fi, strategy, and survival, although I can have fun playing almost anything! Along with running home games with friends, I frequently volunteer to GM at my local game store, so I have experience adjusting to groups or individuals with different dynamics and expectations. *FYI* I am very flexible with game days/times, so if one of my posted games does not fit with your group's schedule, please message me!

How Julia runs games

My GM style is mainly focused on roleplay, cooperation, and teamwork. I love running scenerios that inspire players to communicate with each other, strategize through difficult situations, and develop their characters. The top priority is crafting a unique story together, whether it be lighthearted or dramatic.

making a snap decision on what feels right in the moment. I don't like to spend game time looking up rules. If something comes up that I don't remember (unless it is something major), I will rule it in as fair a way as possible and look up the rule after the game for use in the next session.

Rules are...

one of the main components of what makes a game fun and engaging. Rather than letting something happen because it is "cool", it is ultimately more satisfying to manipulate the rules in such a way that the desired outcome feels deserved. I much prefer to run crunchy games than rules-lite games!
