About Ben

Gaming is my passion, as the saying goes do something you love you wont work a day in your life. I enjoy the building of worlds, crafting Characters from dust, engaging dilemmas and initiating those new to the realm of TTrpg’s. My experience comes from 20 years of playing, hosting, creating, and recently publishing TTrpg’s. In my travels of life I hosted many games, some in other countries(disabled american veteran). Which has brought unique experience and tone to how my setting and game tones/ mechanics run. The TTrpg systems currently available: 🐉Dungeons and Dragons1-5e 🗡️Daggerheart 🧚Pathfinder 1&2e 🧛Vampire 5e 🏕️Homebrew systems ☢️Fallout

I got started GMing...

after about three games it became clear to me and others that being a player just wasn't enough I am very much into the story the progress of a campaign and love watching players as they immerse themselves into a story I am running or creating.

My favorite system of all Time is

homebrew anything from D&D to Pathfinder to DarkSouls any type of system can be homebrewed and while the published campaigns are great there is always room left or reimagining and homebrewing of them. this does not mean however that I don't run or am opposed to running campaign as they were written

When I'm not running games I'm...

constantly scouring for content lore new ideas ways to create new worlds. I am also a huge survival nut and take in all info and use it practically in everyday life

How Ben runs games

My style of GMing is not vastly different from most i suppose, detailed descriptions of areas and visual aids, voices for characters, hooking and immersing players. All of which are the normal things most GMs bring to the table. Things I do as your GM: World building/player archs.-where do you see your character in the end Provide everything you need to play online full character options and even some room for customizations. Detailed battle maps Teach how to play (for beginners and veterans) Voices for NPC and BBEG characters.

I deal with rules issues by...

getting players responses and always try to have these agreed upon during a zero session

My games focus on...

story telling, lore, combat for one shots. those and side quests player character upward progression, and more for long campaigns

When it comes to voices

I love to have them in game and use them regularly I have my personal voice as DM/Narrator, and use other voices for npc and enemy's. I don't require my players to use different voices but it is encouraged.

Ben's ideal table

Any and all are welcome to my table. I do have age restrictions due to language, ideally a table that makes all who sit at it feel like they are part of a group one that they can laugh with, be dramatic with and overall help each other be immersed in a game. When it comes to rules and how mechanics of the game work I will usually lean to make them guidelines to help keep the narrative of the game going. From beginning to end my goal is to have you feeling happy and excited for the next session and game.

I am for a vibe that's...

easy going and no drama everything can be worked out with communication and understanding.

I love it when a player

immerses themselves and becomes their character

I think metagaming...

is helpful at times when taking players characters to where a player would like them to be but needs to stay out of the main story.
