Hello, hello! My name is Sol 🌞 I've been running RPGs for about ten years and DMing professionally for five. I've run many different TTRPGs, but am most familiar with D&D 5E. I have experience running games for all ages, from elementary school to elders ~ and enjoy running all types of genres (fantasy, sci-fi, survival, western, etc.) My bread and butter, though, is Afrocentric settings and stories as I love tapping into the rich well of Black Imagination & Culture. I also love creating opportunities for more Black people to get into D&D. Lets play together!

How Sol, The Tabletop Griot runs games
Adaptable to the desires and experience level of my players, but I tend towards roleplay-heavy games with exciting plot hooks, memorable NPCs, and ample room for character development through meaningful choices. I love reading players' backstories and building narrative webs that connect everyone to the larger story in surprising ways. Combat is descriptive and dynamic! For new players, I love to use the flow of the story to teach folks the mechanics and heart of the game so they spend less time worried about the rules and more time collaborating on stories and friendships they'll be talking about for ages.
