About Nathan
Been playing TTRPGs for almost 2 decades on both sides of the dm screen, I enjoy getting a group together to have a good time more than anything else i prioritize making sure that everyone at the table is having a good time. I have run campaigns for various TTRPGs ranging from dnd 5e/3.5e to Dragon Age and Call of Cthulhu. When I am behind the screen, I tend to lean equally into Combat and Roleplay because i find them both rewarding in their own way, the ratio of these in my games depends on the preferences of my players. The themes my stories tend to be somewhere between heroic and grim fantasy/sci-fi, and while i do my best to make the story interesting and engaging for the players and their characters, i also encourage out of character joking and light ribbing between players and myself to help take the bite out of heavy situations that can make people feel sour about something bad that happened. All this said i am a firm believer of actions have consequences and apply that to my games, if you do something stupid and it doesn't work out or sometimes even if it does work out there are things that happen accordingly. But above all I believe having fun is the most important part of any TTRPG.

How Nathan runs games
I have a "the world is your sandbox" GM style, I throw the world at the players filled with potential story hooks, letting the players find their own way. Just because the players aren't interacting with things doesn't mean those things and people are not acting themselves. So if the players hear of a problematic goblin tribe from an innkeeper and they let it be, either because it is below them or they just don't want to fight goblins, the goblins will continue to be an issue and maybe the guards or other adventurers will deal with them or maybe those goblins will turn into a huge army of goblins, orcs, trolls, and giants running amok in the kingdom or where they are. I love watching what draws in each player, what interests them and gets them engaged, how they solve problems and riddles i set before them. And while i will make it a struggle for the players to succeed, my ultimate goal is for them to win. TTRPGs shouldn't be GM vs players they're meant to be everyone at the table trying to tell the best story they can
