About Rian
Once upon a time, many years ago now, as a wee boy I was invited to play a game called Dungeons & Dragons run by my friend's sister. I was hooked. Now, more than 30 years on, I've been playing a variety of tabletop games almost constantly and running them for over 20 years of that. During that time, I've run countless different systems, genres, and settings across both in-person and digital settings. From the old stand-by of heroic medieval fantasy in Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder, to personal horror storytelling in the World of Darkness games, to the far future in giant mechs with Lancer, to various other games - Call of Cthulhu, Legend of the Five Rings, Scion, and countless others - I've played or run a wide variety. And I've loved every minute of it.

How Rian runs games
I love games that focus on roleplay, narrative, and dramatics. I will often focus on the needs of the story over the exact specifics of the ruleset. I welcome and strongly encourage players to get involved in the worldbuilding aspects, using their input, backstories, and actions to shape my ongoing worlds/settings.
