About Salem
My name is Salem (they/them), and I have been running tabletop RPGs, mostly Dungeons and Dragons 5e, for the better part of five years. I've dabbled in numerous systems, and always enjoy branching out to try new things. As a "forever DM" I have a lot of experience behind the screen, and I love to bring new players into the hobby or show veterans something genuinely new!

How Salem runs games
I love roleplaying, and my sessions include a mix of about 70% RP, 20% combat, and 10% exploration (to use D&D metrics). I love making player choices matter and integrating the stories and characters they bring to the table a part of my worlds. I am a homebrew-heavy GM and prefer to make my own settings whenever possible, to give my players the maximum chance to make it their own, as well! Combat is almost always narratively-focused and plot-driven, so stories have time to flourish and characters/worlds feel more real and fleshed-out as opposed to avatars/settings in a combat simulator.
