About DT
I am a passionate TTRPG and D&D enthusiast. I've been designing games since as early as I can remember as a kid. Growing up I was famous amongst my friends for 'always' having a newly designed game, or variation to an existing game that I'd designed ready to play. I had read all of the Lord of the Rings before my 13th birthday, and before I had learned that D&D existed I designed my own board game RPG (complete with 6 character stats!) to play as Gandalf, Aragorn, Bilbo, and various other famous characters. In college i fell into D&D 3.5, bounced of D&D 4e, and dove deeply into the world of fantasy LARP (live action role play). When 5th edition burst onto the public scene it wasn't long before that pulled me back into the world of TTRPGs. I've been playing and GM'ing with friends and family for years ever since. Most recently I've gone deep into (what Sly Flourish calls) "the beautiful mess" that is 5e D&D. I love incorporating any and/or all high-quality 3rd party content. (Ghostfire Gaming, Kobold Press, Level Up A5e, etc!) It's so much fun to design (sometimes op!) home brew magic items, monsters, player options, and much more. I have a particular love for more grounded, slightly gritty, sometimes even dark fantasy oriented 5e D&D content. I simply love that 5e can allow such a great range of choices. When I'm sitting around a table, rolling some dice, and sharing amazing stories with fun folks I simply couldn't be having a better time!

How DT runs games
First and foremost I love a (3 pillars of play style) balanced game. Humorous and witty role-play, fast, tactical, and engaging combat would both factor prominently. And I like many kinds of scenic, nuanced, and choice filled travel. I think games are most fun when characters (and players!) feel like they are driving the narrative. While I want to run games where the players pick their path, I always enjoy building deep and engaging world-events for players to discover and make their epic quest out of!
