About Solace

While I have been playing table top games for around 9 years, I have been acting, doing improv comedy, and teaching for even longer. I started playing D&D my freshman year of college, and instantly fell in love with both the technical combat, and roleplaying. I began as a player, and eventually became the DM out of necessity (as we all have at one point), and haven't looked back! While I was teaching, I was in charge of the "Storytelling Club" at my school, during which I would run games from different systems for my students. This means, not only am I comfortable with a wide variety of different tones throughout my games, but I also specialize in working with players as young as elementary school, up into adulthood. I am especially gifted at working with new players. As both a writer and an improviser, I can just as easily homebrew a game, as I can adapt material given to me. At the table, I emphasize creativity and storytelling. I love being a rules lawyer, but there absolutely needs to be nuance to tabletop rules, so depending on what my players want out of the game, I may be more or less strict.
