About Gabe

Hey! My name is Gabe. I have been paying Dungeons & Dragons since 2019. Growing up, I always wanted to get into TTRPG's but could never find a group or Game Master to help me get started. So (like so many others), I decided to pick up some dice, the core rulebooks, and a DM screen, I gathered a group of co-workers and friends, and started my first campaign! This was a disaster. But, even through my lack of know-how, we still had the time of our lives. that's kind of the point anyways, right? Fast forward six years and I have run tons of games with many groups and have refined my abilities as a Dungeon Master. I love the collaborative elements of storytelling through the medium of tabletop gaming, and have found great joy in inviting anyone I meet, with even a small interest in Dungeons & Dragons, to my table.

I got started GMing...

Right before the pandemic I started to talk to some of my close friends and co-workers who were also interested in playing D&D but, like me, didn't know how or where to get started. So, I took up the mantle of DM, got a group together, and got started.

How Gabe runs games

I like to run story driven, Role-play focused games, using a mix of published and homebrewed game elements to tell a fun and exciting story with my players. I have taken influences and themes from stories across all types of media (television, movies, books, comics, real play, etc.). I enjoy building immersive worlds to play in from high fantasy to swashbuckling adventures, macabre and eerie to fun and light-hearted, modern fantasy to steampunk. I try to tailor the adventure to facilitate the kind of story my players want to tell.
