I've been playing and running roleplaying games since 1998. During that time I've run multiple different rulesets and settings. While I love playing TTRPGs, what I enjoy the most is seeing a group of people get to enjoy themselves by taking part of a story that I get to be a part of telling alongside them.

How Will runs games
For me, the most important thing is the story and making sure it gets told through the actions of everyone at the table. It's easy to get bogged down in the minutia of large combats and have the game become more of a tactical skirmish game than an rpg. Combat should serve to advance the story, not just be a check mark on a list of things to do between rests.

Rules are there to help keep things on track, not to be the controlling factor at a table. The story, and the group enjoying themselves are far more important. I'm definitely a "rulings over rules" type of GM.
