About Francisco Cabral Barbosa

Hi there! I’m Francisco – but most people call me Chico or Xico. I'm portuguese and I study Mechanical engineering while working on the medical equipment industry. I also have a side gig busking with the saxophone. That's the reason, on the rare ocasions when I can actually play, I usually play a bard. I’m a Dungeon Master with a love for immersive storytelling, complex characters, and morally challenging decisions that keep players thinking long after the session ends. I specialize in psychological horror, narrative-driven campaigns, and deep character arcs, particularly through systems like Dungeons & Dragons 5e. I’ve been running games consistently since the pandemic, having completed full campaigns like Dragon of Icespire Peak and currently running an intensely customized Curse of Strahd using Foundry VTT. My sessions combine the richness of roleplay with carefully paced exploration and combat, tailored for players who enjoy a slower burn, powerful atmosphere, and choices with real consequences. I focus on mature themes (18+), but always prioritize player safety and consent with clear session zero expectations, safety tools, and open communication. Whether its a roleplay veteran or someone just looking to get lost in a compelling story, I'm here to offer a unique, thoughtful, and unforgettable experience at the table.

How Francisco Cabral Barbosa runs games

I run immersive, character-driven campaigns where choices matter, consequences sting, and every moment is a chance for meaningful roleplay. I love creating morally complex dilemmas, slow-burn tension, and moments of introspection — balanced with cinematic combat that rewards clever thinking over min-maxing. My sessions are structured but reactive: I prepare rich environments, deep NPCs, and evocative themes, but I leave space for players to shape the story. Expect a psychological edge, eerie ambience, and the occasional “oh no, what have we done?” moment. I run my games through Foundry VTT with custom sounds, dynamic lighting, and visual storytelling. Ideal for players who want more than just rolling dice — I’m here for those who want to feel, regret, scheme, and maybe even cry a little.

Francisco Cabral Barbosa's ideal table

If you're looking for a table that values immersive storytelling, morally complex decisions, and a cinematic atmosphere, you've found the right place. My games focus on deep roleplay, mystery, world-building, and real consequences for your character’s actions. Sessions are slower-paced, full of atmosphere, and designed to make your choices matter. Tension, emotion, and narrative weight are key ingredients. 🎲 Best fit for players who: -Enjoy engaging with the world and NPCs -Appreciate dark themes, slow-burning plots, and layered conflicts -Don’t shy away from difficult or ambiguous choices -Value character development over min-maxing -Like a balanced mix of roleplay and tactical combat (with emphasis on roleplay) 🧰 I use Foundry VTT, custom visuals, ambient music, and cinematic narration to bring each scene to life. Every session is carefully prepared, yet flexible enough for creative player input. If you’re not just here for loot and XP, but for meaningful adventures that leave a mark — this table is for you.
