About Jason Summers
Two core pieces of my identity that I bring into my games is that I am an experienced improvisor and a registered psychotherapist (though I do not intend at all to market/ posit that I am providing any sort of therapy). I have been improvising for about as long as I've been doing TTRPGs, six years. Both began just before the pandemic. An unfortunate time, for obvious reasons. A fortunate time, as both really have had an uptick in popularity. I perform frequently in my home town, and have been featured on national news twice for teams I've been on. I love the roleplay style games, and bringing the world's, characters and stories to light. I also love relationships and the "who the characters are", something I draw from my psychotherapy work. I am curious of people and what leads them to make decisions, and I bring this into my games. Outside of these I am a huge fan of mystery television, so for better or worse, expect it in campaigns or one shots. I like having players minds ticking away on plot as they explore. I have been playing for sixish years, and GMing for four. I love writing worlds/ campaigns and spaces where players are readying to explore.

I became a GM because
I made far too many characters to simply be a player.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Performing improv, working in education, or watching cozy mysteries.
How Jason Summers runs games
I'm a lover of mystery, motivations and role play! My goal in each game is to bring in the element of fun, while exploring a new world or space. As an experienced improvisor, there is nothing more that I enjoy than digging into the role play and narrative elements of the game. In addition to improv I also am a lover of all things mystery. You name a crime procedural, I have most likely seen it. And if I haven't-- I'll be eternally thankful. I love bringing twists and turns for players to think about as they explore the world their own. Whether that be as seasoned adventures, or delightful grandmothers.
