About Malnon
I am a Harvard educated Dungeon Master who has been playing D&D and running campaigns for over twenty years...and I'm still young. (I started early!) :D I love Dungeons & Dragons above all other tabletop games, and I have crafted a most daring, fun, exciting, dramatic and fulfilling Campaign that I could imagine. I can't wait to find my Six to reveal this world to, and experience this great new Campaign with.

People are always surprised when I tell them
That my first D&D character I ever played was a Halfling Bard! Bards are definitely not an easy class to learn D&D with, but I fell in love with the adventure, became an expert with my character...and I haven't looked back since. I'm still playing D&D decades later. :)
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
I typically develop a wonderful relationship with my Players, and they eagerly describe me as: Professional, Punctual, and a wonderful Storyteller. My Players have been with me for years, because I give them stories and experiences they can't get elsewhere.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Studying, Researching, Learning and growing as an Intellectual Artist. Filling my mind as much as I can will always remain my favorite pastime...besides D&D.
How Malnon runs games
I craft powerful and dramatic stories with high-stakes combat, searing exposition, and magical flair. As an artist in the real world, I have the talents (and voice) to create a Campaign that feels lived-in, prescient, and real. My motto as a dungeon master is that Character, Combat, and Climax should be at the heart of every single D&D game that I run.

I deal with rules issues by...
D&D is a vast game with literally tens of thousands of rules. No one can remember everything, let alone a DM/GM who is in charge of hundreds of decisions every Game. I make a ruling and then we move on and keep the game running smoothly. Discussions can happen after to review a rule of course.
I prep by
Spending hours each day on my Tables. This is literally an important job for me, so I spend hours constructing my maps, writing dialogue, setting up NPC interactions/possibilities/choices and rendering the choices my Players make in real-time. It's really a tough job, but I love it.
Rules are...
A wonderful foundation to build a D&D Campaign around. I love following the Rules and utilizing Homebrew to make my Tables unique and larger-than-life. I believe in letting my Players be as powerful as possible without breaking the Game. My Table is where you are always a force to be reckoned with.
Malnon's ideal table
I am a passionate DM with a very kind and welcoming demeanor, and I believe in showing and giving respect to all people at all times. I vibe best with Players who conduct themselves with respect for themselves and others, and I enjoy Players with a sense of humor who don't take themselves too seriously. First and foremost, D&D is a game and it's supposed to be fun! As the DM...I want to have fun with you! Players who enjoy smiling, laughing, being in a welcoming and kind environment where D&D is fun, enjoyable and you can't get enough of an incredible Campaign that's all about your character...are the players I'm looking for at my Table.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
A Campaign where you get an incredible plot, thrilling villains, your actions matter and have real consequences (both good & bad), you're powerful and a force to be reckoned with...and you get fun Homebrew that enhances the game and gives you incredible powers...then you're going to love my Table.
I love it when a player
Can really sit back in their character and play our game fully, taking the game seriously, role-playing as much as they can, and who come to the table with lots of questions about what's going on in the overall plot. An involved player is my new best friend, always. :)
My table is not the place for...
Rude behavior, people who constantly question and challenge the DM disrespectfully, people who are not inclusive or welcoming to others, or people who cannot get into the world the Table is building together.
