About Scott
I've been a GM for 20+ years, from D&D 3e to 5e. I'm a recent convert to Shadowdark, as it's opened my eyes to a to a new world of TTRPGs. All of my players have always said I'm a great GM. I typically disagree. Maybe they're just being nice. Maybe I just have imposter syndrome. Either way, we still have fun and laugh a lot. I have ADD (no H, because that takes too much energy), and my wife (who is a shrink) thinks I'm mildly autistic. Who am I to argue. Anyway, let's start playing games!

I became a GM because
It allows me to express my creativity and bring my imaginary worlds to life!
My favorite system of all Time is
Until recently it was 5e, but now Shadowdark sits upon that throne.
When I'm not running games I'm...
I moderate the official Arcane Library/Shadowdark Discord server. I'm also testing the waters or writing adventure modules for publication.
How Scott runs games
Roleplay is great, and I might try to coax it out of you if I can. Ultimately though, it's not strictly necessary. Consistantly talking over me or other players, or intentionally spotlight-hogging will get you invited to leave the group. Respect others. My games are typically 18+, because I have a mouth like a sailor. If you have triggers, tell me ahead of time and I will accomodate. Otherwise, I'll assume everything is fair game. I'm always down to answer questions!

My favorite trope is...
"You're having an ale at the local tavern when..." Tropes are tropes for a reason. They work!
My games focus on...
Fun, and party unity.
Rules are...
Malleable
Scott's ideal table
Primary focus is fun for everyone. If you're the type to constantly interrupt other players or like to hog the spotlight, you won't fit well at my table.

I am for a vibe that's...
Fun and chill. The only drama should be in the story, not at the table.
I think it's a red flag when players...
tell other players how to play their character.
I think min/maxing...
has a time and a place, but is more often used to abuse rather than to enhance.
