About Alex
Hi. I'm a non-binary queer person who loves TTRPGs and has been playing them for about 8 years now. I'm Fairly easy going and mostly just want to have fun. Relevant hobbies include creative writing and making characters for dnd games that I never get a chance to play. I can be quite reserved but once I'm comfortable i do not shut up. So look forward to that i guess.

I got started GMing...
because I wanted to learn DnD on whim and none of my friends wanted to DM so, like Thanos before me, I said "Fine. I'll do it myself."
My favorite shows/movies are
My Favourite Anime is Gurren Laggan. My favourite Western TV show is Brooklyn Nine-Nine. My favourite movie is Jurrasic Park. As you can see, i have lots of influences.
How Alex runs games
I am a queer friendly GM (mostly because I am a friendly queer person) and I've been playing/GMing for about 8 years. I love TTRPGS and want to make sure everyone has a safe and fun time while playing at my tables. I think the rules of the game are important but I think that rule of cool trumps logic or the rules sometimes. That doesn't mean i don't care about the rules and if you feel I've missed something, don't be afraid to speak up. More importantly I care that everyone is comfortable and having a good time so I will be using several safety tools to make sure i don't step on anyone's specific triggers while we play. That out of the way, my games tend to be a balance between role play and combat. And they tend to be influenced by anime quite a lot. My games are usually straight forward "the players are the good guys" but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to be the best people as characters, just that the narrative will likely treat you as heroes. Anyway, that's enough about my games. Hope to play with you soon.

My games focus on...
My games focus on smaller arcs that facilitate a broader narrative. One of my biggest influences in this regard is one piece. What I mean is every step along the way slowly contributes to the larger ongoing narrative. Perhaps a better example is jujutsu kaisen. Every arc moves us closer to the end.
Rules are...
Rules are their to facilitate the fun of the game. They exist to help us decide how things can and can't happen. But when a rule is getting in the way of fun, I feel it is best left ignored.
Alex's ideal table
I value fun above all else. Those that take the game serious but not too serious fit right at home with my games. I love making jokes as we play and developing running gags. If you're at the table to have fun and too enjoy the game as a hobby, you will fit right in.
