About Eric
I've been playing tabletop games since I got hero quest in first grade. I started playing D&D during 3.5 in 2007 which was the first time I found a group to play with. Since then I've run around 10 large scale campaigns, all built from scratch. Although I've spent most of my career as a nerd playing JRPGs and turn based, tactical RPGs my deepest passion is to create. I've stepped away from video games at this point in my life and I'm looking to pour back into the fantasy community. I love to make other people's lives better, and I genuinely enjoy service. I believe in hard work, being kind to everyone and always doing the right thing(as best we know how ^_-). I look forward to getting to know this community and giving the best experience I can to my players. Live forever, you beautiful people.

How Eric runs games
Are you interested in playing a unique character in a unique world that organically reacts to your decisions? Do you want to tell a story with a group of friends that has never been told before and never will be again? As a DM I strive to create unique worlds for you to bring your characters to life in. I never run premade content, the entire setting will be fleshed out from scratch; a unique sandbox for you to explore. I can speak with a wide variety of accents and I will voice act my NPC's to the best of my ability. You do not have to speak in character if you do not wish to, but I will respond in character. I like to craft complex dungeons and challenges for the players, mysteries to solve and dire challenges to overcome. I will threaten the group with more difficult challenges over the course of a campaign, I want you to feel the thrill of danger. I am not a rules Nazi but I like to follow them as much as I am able. I may rarely overrule things to facilitate the best story and player experience. I expect my players always to be kind to one another, we are writing a story together and it's for all of us. I want everyone to feel valued and thrilled by the experience, your joy is my fuel to create. I want to offer the maximum amount of player freedom, however I may draw the line regarding certain mature themes. Please always keep in mind the greater good of the group with me, and let's put each other first. Let's write an epic fantasy tale, together!

I prep by
building a massive sandbox world for you to explore and populating it with mysteries, monsters, treasures, legends and interesting NPCs and quests. I try to plan for multiple contingencies, since I never know what my players will do and I always try to build in multiple solutions to every problem.
My games focus on...
Freedom of choice, expression and building a healthy creative relationship with each other.
Rules are...
to be followed as much as possible until they are a detriment to the game experience as a whole and then sometimes they should be quietly placed aside a moment to make a better story/player experience.
Eric 's ideal table
The general vibe at my table should be chill, but I'd love people to get excited over the game of course! I may get narrative heavy at times and I will do my best to draw you in and make you want to explore the world. I hope that my players will work together to explore the world and problem solve creatively. As much as I love creating a strong narrative I always want to see my players take the reins and drive the plot forward.
