About Felix
I'm Felix (30yo), almost a decade long GM ever since I learned what TTRPGs were in 2017 and have been absolutely obsessed with them from that moment on. I enjoy running thematic, engaging games via FoundryVTT, incorporating music, handouts and an lots of different characters you'll run across. As a school teacher, I know what it's like to wrangle a group of people and get them motivated, and I use that, as well as my Master's degree in Literature and Linguistics, to facilitate the engaging and memorable games I strive to host. I like combat as much as the next person, but I think it's important to balance that with social roleplay, the occasional puzzle and other interactions. I love voicing NPCs (though I am no professional voice actor) and creating a narrative that is truely collaborative. I absolutely delight in weaving my players’ characters and backstories into the worlds we play in together. Let's roll some dice!

I got started GMing...
because it became quickly apparent that simply playing a single character could never contain the ten thousand ideas for worlds and stories that are constantly bubbling out of my brain, whether I like it or not.
My favorite system of all Time is
a fairly niche game called The Burning Wheel. It's an... acquired taste and most people do not like it, but in the few times I've gotten to play it I've had incredible experiences every time. The way character stories unfold in it is unlike any other system I have ever come across.
When I'm not running games I'm...
obsessed with the games I'm not running, typically to the detriment of any other job I'm supposed to do.
How Felix runs games
I prefer crafting worlds and filling them with interesting things so the players can engage with whatever they like. Sandbox games that involve some sort of mystery that slowly unravels over the course of a campaign is what I enjoy the most. I always try to create NPCs that are more than simple mustache twirling villains or noble heroes. People have complexities and that's what makes them interesting. Interesting stories, as far as I'm concerned, come from how people engage with the worlds around them and how that shapes them and they shape the world in turn. The collaborative storytelling nature and unpredictability in how the PCs and the dice change the story is amazing. That's what makes TTRPGs unique and enjoyable to me.

I once ran a session...
that I had planned to be largely a combat encounter, but instead it turned into intense hormonal teenage romance drama where the PCs tried to set up two of their classmates.
Rules are...
important to give a framework for events. Ignoring them can be fun, but too much risks just playing Calvinball. I love making new ones that fit the game narrative and I love breaking old ones... but breaking rules requires understanding why they exist and what effects they presence or absence has.
When it comes to voices
I'm no Matt Mercer, but I love giving it my best shot (even if it's terrible... especially if it's terrible)! :D
