Hello I am Derek. I love the co-creation that comes from RPGs. It brings about some hilarious or moving moments that stick as lasting memories. I have been running 7 games of D and D on Roll20 for over 3 years fulltime and have been fortunate to have some reliable players who have started new campaigns.

How Derek Burns runs games

I love to roleplay (its what's unique about this game) and I do a series of different accents. I love story building and building the world around and through the PCs to add depth and realism to the world. I enjoy combat and like it to be challenging or hold at least some stakes. I enjoy tying backstories into the main campaign and love the shared creation of that. You will find the worlds I make living and breathing and responding to your parties choices and actions. Also love a bit of humour and cracking the odd joke here and there as the party certainly will!

A framework so we know, roughly, what we can and cant do in game. This way we can all meet on a level playing field.

I love playing around with voices and staying in character in them. I even crack the odd 4th wall joke.

I like a table full of creative, comfortable people who give each other prompts to RP and the space to explore it. Where the rules are not the be all and end all and flow and fairness rule the table.
