About emir “ssumo” devletli

Hi, I’m Emir Devletli. With 9 years of tabletop experience -mostly running games- and a Digital Game Design degree, I blend solid game theory with practical storytelling. I founded my university’s tabletop club and teach new Game Masters to secrets of my craft. My GM style is flexible and player-focused. I love sandbox worlds where players who feel adventurous can choose from a list of threats to where they want to go, or create their own ways. At the same time, I like to create games with more character and story-focused as well. It’s all about what players want. There are a lot of different systems I've played and run games in, but right now I’m settled on Pathfinder 1e and Pathfinder 2e. Our communication will be through Discord, and we will play the game from Foundry VTT. Let’s build an unforgettable adventure together! I’d love to be the Game Master for you and your friends!

I got started GMing...

At the beginning of high school and there was no one who had heard about D&D at that time. So I tried to introduce them, and that's the story of how I became a forever GM.

My favorite books are

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and 1984 by George Orwell. Funnily enough I use both of these books to get inspired for my campaigns as well.

My favorite shows/movies are

Star Wars. I really love it and have watched almost anything that was made about it. I wish I could find time to read comics as well.

How emir “ssumo” devletli runs games

I run games with a balanced mix of combat and roleplay. In a typical 4-hour session, you can expect roughly 2 hours of each. Combat encounters are varied in difficulty and design, aiming to challenge without overwhelming. What sets my games apart is the immersive worldbuilding. I create in-world newspapers and books that players can discover to learn more about the setting and its mysteries. I like creating worlds that are alive with a wide cast of NPCs, each with their own motives, personalities, and goals, whether allies, enemies, or something between. While I occasionally include puzzles, they’re not my strong suit. If clever puzzle solving is your favorite part of a session, I might not be the best match. But if you’re looking for a GM who delivers rich storytelling, engaging combat, and a deeply developed world, I’d love to run a game for you.
