About FarFromIt
I have many names, Olexander, Far, FarFromIt, Kovbasun and much more. I'm okay with any of this and would love to hear some more. But if I have to stop messing around: I would say that I am really passionate and dedicated game master with almost 5 years of experience, that's love not only TTRPG but TTG in general. I tried to create maps, played different games, right now create my own campaign, but the thing that I love the most is to write stories with my players. I really adore how other people make a worlds that I describe alive. I definitely not the best storyteller but I try my best to make everyone feel comfortable and have fun! Last but not least as you can see, I'm from Ukraine, so my English far from (joke drums sound) perfect, but I'm really motivated to improve it and then create stories that everyone can understand and enjoy.

I became a GM because
Primary is because it's fun and interesting. The secondary reason is because TTRPG is my way of expressing myself, a way to have a good time with friends, and also I think it some sort of escapism for me.
My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Fate, Hollow Knight TTRPG, DnD 5e (2014)
When I'm not running games I'm...
Studying at university, sometimes go to the gym and most of all play other video games.
How FarFromIt runs games
I am master who emphasizes storytelling and role-playing in any form (detailed description of actions in battle, emotional expression during social encounters, descriptions of what and how PC feels about certain thing or situation, etc.). I follow the rules of the systems, and I really respect those who know them thoroughly and even better than me, but if a rule gets in the way of a cool moment, that rule is ignored. Speaking of rules.... Combat. I try to make it a part of the story, not just a random encounter on the way to a quest. Enemies can and should tell the players a story. Mechanically, I try to do everything possible to prevent turning combat into a game of "whoever has the most numbers win", but this is not a RULE (joke drums sound), if this encounter is supposed to be a simple and fun goblin mashing, then it will be a simple and fun goblin mashing. I try to vary the difficulty depending on the players. For instance, I offer a more "classic" combat experience to beginners, as they may not know the nuances of the system and with my "daily" approach it can be a death sentence for the PCs. It's also important to note that I NEVER set a goal of killing the player characters as the "main goal of the scene".

My games focus on...
Roleplaying, story telling, character/world interactions (although the world is also in some ways a character, but anyway)
Rules are...
important and help create believable stories... But sometimes it`s more like guidelines really
When it comes to voices
I try to make them unique: add accents, change the timbre and adjust it to the situation (for example, if the character is running, I try to make them gasp). But, unfortunately, I'm not a voice actor and I do what I can ;-;
FarFromIt's ideal table
It's hard for me to imagine an "ideal group" because everyone is so different and I've had about the same amount of satisfaction with all the players I've played with. Of course, there are some unpleasant, rude and in general stupid individuals, but I have a very short conversation with them: "Do you see this door? Good. Now get the HELL out of here."

I love it when a player
talk about the game: what they like, what they don't like, what theories they have about plot, what they think about NPCs inside/outside of the characters, and so on. In short, I love it when players head dive into the game.
I think it's a red flag when players...
are constantly late for games, tells others "HoW YoU ShOuLd PlAy" when NOBODY asked, doesn't follow what's happening in the game and/or if they constantly distracted
I think metagaming...
is something that rarely ruins or even effects games. If I need to give information to only a certain player, we can quickly go to a diferent voice channel while other players can peacefully rp among themselves before we back. It's simple.
