About Casio Randy

"Hi! I'm Gabriel — Also known as Casio Randy. I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs since 2012, when I was just 13, and I’ve been in love with the hobby ever since. I started with old-school-inspired systems like Old Dragon, and over the years I’ve had the chance to both play and game master a wide variety of systems — including D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Dungeon World, Vampire: the Masquerade (V5), Call of Cthulhu, Mutants & Masterminds, Star Wars 5e, and even some lesser-known ones like Cairn. Out of all these, Pathfinder 2nd Edition is where I have the most experience as a GM — it’s the system I know best behind the screen. I come from a background in theater and improvisation, so I’m quick on my feet when it comes to rulings and love keeping the game flowing smoothly, even when the rulebook doesn’t have all the answers. I’m a highly adaptable Game Master, always focused on making the experience engaging, fair, and fun for everyone at the table. I’m Brazilian and speak English very well, though I’m still building confidence with practice — and I’m always improving. I also studied game design for a few years in college, so I bring a creative mindset to mechanics, narrative, and player engagement, with a strong understanding of gamification and design theory, and I’m currently finishing a degree in psychology — which helps me understand players in and out of game, picking up any discomfort sign Let’s roll some dice and create unforgettable stories together!

How Casio Randy runs games

I approach Game Mastering with a strong foundation of preparation — I like to build more than I expect players to explore, so the world feels rich, deep, and alive. But that doesn’t mean I railroad. Player agency is at the heart of my tables. I encourage creativity, flexibility, and exploration. If a player has a cool idea and it fits the narrative and their resources — even if it bends the rules a bit — I’m likely to say “yes, let’s do it.” I especially love roleplay and character-driven storytelling. I give players space to express themselves, shape the world around them, and take the story in unexpected directions. I’d describe myself as a permissive GM — not in the sense of removing challenge, but in allowing players to feel free, supported, and empowered in their choices. That said, I also love tactical combat. I don’t see it as a waste of time — especially in systems like Pathfinder 2e, where tactical thinking shines. I encourage players to think strategically, and I do my best to balance encounters to keep things fun, fair, and engaging — without handing out game-breaking solutions. Note: Not the best at describing scenery, but working on it! Improvisation is a big part of my style too. I’m rarely thrown off by surprises — I love when players do things I didn’t expect, because it gives me the chance to create something new on the spot. For me, there’s no real “challenge” in GMing — just new opportunities I haven’t explored yet. That’s what I enjoy most.
