About Matt Spring
I've been fascinated by TTRPGs since I was in grade school, back in the 90s when the hobby wasn't as accessible and known as it is today. I've been running roleplaying games for over 25 years now, and I have to say I love it more each year. During the Pandemic, I was running as many as three games a week online and it helped keep a lot of us sane and smiling during a particularly dark time. I run games for private groups, conventions, fundraisers, and company team building. I've also co-founded a theater company in the Twin Cities that has been producing art for the last 20 years, and I find GMing feeds into my love of storytelling and playing characters. I enjoy playing with beginners, veterans, and everyone in between!

How Matt Spring runs games
Fun is the name of the game when I GM, and I find the surprises of roleplaying and the thrill of a good combat encounter to be two of the places where the most fun can be had. With an extensive background in theater, my characters come alive in roleplay encounters, with motives and quirks beyond just things rolled for on a table. And I believe a dynamic, engaging battle can have goals beyond just "kill everything on the board". Though I do concede that sometimes you do just need to "kill everything on the board".
