About Kether
Hello Hello, I’ve been running D&D campaigns for a few years now, mostly high fantasy, but I’ve also dipped into some weirder stuff like biopunk and post-apocalyptic settings just to keep things interesting. I love coming up with homebrew mechanics and weird twists, but a lot of my players tell me it’s the roleplay moments and big emotional scenes that really hit. Outside of D&D, I’m a huge fan of board games like Catan and especially Betrayal at House on the Hill (it never gets old). I’m also into Dragonlance books, music, and cooking, I’ve got a D&D cookbook I’m dying to try out more from… just need to finally get a skillet! I'm hoping to connect with players, GMs, and other creative folks who enjoy building stories together and having a good time around the table.

I became a GM because
My dad was my first GM, seeing how he made a sprawling world was inspiring and it made me curious in the first place, so if I were to pick a reason as to why, it would have to be because of my dad.
My favorite books are
Dragonlance, Wings of Fire and Magesterium
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Flexible, curious and excentric.
How Kether runs games
I prefer to focus more on the world building and the role-playing both with other players and with NPCs, I do appreciate an enjoyable fight, but combat isn't my focus.

My games focus on...
Roleplay is definitely the part I prefer to focus on, though while the combat is sometimes less common I'll still try and give you a challenge.
Rules are...
meant to be bent sometimes, I love to follow the rule of cool as long as it's not a constant thing, so have your moments but let others have theirs as well.
When it comes to voices
Honestly, I'm very bad at doing voices, so there's a good shot that I won't do many, there's also a chance I might forget the voices sometimes.
Kether's ideal table
I prefer players who are not going to murder every NPC they come across, I'm sure everyone say that though. I also like players who get creative in combat, someone who might be in a cave and use a fireball to knock loose stalactite to let it fall on their enemies. The vibe I'd prefer is simply friendly and maybe curious. Plus, if you're wondering about what kinds of magical equipment you can have to start with, or a unique subclass for your character, just come talk to me, most cases I'm sure we can make it work.

I love it when a player
I love when a player leaves loose threads or openings in their background specifically to let the GM tie the characters into the world. These loose threads make it much easier to connect them to the world without having to change large parts of the world to make them fit. So it's a massive help.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Making your character background completely unrealistic is a massive red flag for me. I had a player in the past claim his character was able to behead a Basilisk in one strike prior to the campaign, they started the game at 3rd level. So please try your best to be realistic with your back story.
I think min/maxing...
I respect those who can figure that stuff out, if everyone has agreed they are okay with people in the party doing it then go for it, however I don't believe it's fair to do in any other case. It makes scaling for combat much harder for me and makes it harsh for the players who aren't min/maxing.
