About me

My name is John, I've been DMing for over 5 years and playing for over 6. I played DnD 5e for most of this time, but over the last few years, I've branched out to more TTRPGs and am eager to learn more systems.

GM Style

I love to stoke the fire and get roleplay happening at the table, be it between players or with a wacky NPC. I am a certified Lore Goblin, and if you send me a character backstory with lots of details, I will read all of it, then find ways to reference/sneak certain information into the game, and I will love every second of it. I take great pride in being able to shift the mood from silly to serious very quickly without it being jarring, keeping my players on their toes with creative encounters, and keeping an engaging narrative. I would say my combat may be a bit lacking, I prefer theatre of the mind over battlemaps, as it gives me more freedom for improv and doing interesting things to the environment mid-fight.
