About me

Hi, I’m Farron! Tabletop games have been a huge part of my life since middle school. I’ve always been drawn to the way they bring people together to tell stories: personal, collaborative, and completely unique. Roleplay has always been my favorite part of the hobby, and I love helping players bring their characters and narratives to life. I started GMing because I wanted to share my love of storytelling, and since then, I’ve had the chance to both run and play in a wide variety of systems and campaigns. I’m a quick study with new rules and always eager to dive into something fresh whether it's tactical and combat-heavy or focused entirely on narrative. Whatever your group is looking for, I’m here to help make it happen.

GM Style

I tend to place a large emphasis on roleplay and story in my games, both in creating a good plot for my players and good moments for their characters. My groups know me well for my ability to weave a party together quickly, and keep those dynamics interesting over multi-year long campaigns. If there is a particular story or arc you want to tell with your character I will make sure it comes to fruition. If there's a conflict or some kind of tension between characters or the stories the players want to tell I'll facilitate a conversation to make sure no ones fun is getting stepped on for anothers. I don't shy away from combat though. I can easily switch between making easier flashy combats for players to enjoy and show off in, and difficult combats where each decision needs to be weighed carefully. I love ensuring that my combats have environmental aspects that encourage the players to consider positioning and resources other than just their class abilities. Overall I'm able to adapt to player needs fairly well on both these fronts, putting the focus on story and mechanics as the group or situation demands. I never lock my campaigns fully into one or the other, and can pivot midway if that is what the players want from the experience.
