About me
Wren (they/them) is an agender (non-binary) gamer, podcaster, streamer, and aspiring voice actor. They love dogs, Pokémon, drawing, writing, and cute stuff. They are the audio mixer and the voice of the character Eight in the podcast "Roads Uncharted". As a GM, Wren focuses on narratives and role play, giving each player the chance to interact with the world around them and the other players. Wren strives for inclusion and comfort at the table. Session 0s are a staple and keeping things open and light goes a long way, as well. If they had to describe a piece of media that was similar in style to their GM capability, it would be "Avatar: the Last Airbender". For an example of Wren's GMing style, check out their YouTube channel.

Creating your character
Characters will be starter level, with 25 additional experience. I will be available to help players create characters, especially given that I have many resources available to help in the process. (Books, experience, etc.) There will also be a session 0 where all of the players discuss how each character is related to the others. I will also encourage you to interweave stories with one other's. I expect players to know their character abilities and ask me for assistance as they need help making their character. We will work to develop a rebel cell or group that fights against the Empire and establish what your team's efforts will foster in your organization.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A webcam and microphone is needed. Knowing basic rules for the game system is beneficial, as well. I expect players to create their own characters, though I can be available to answer questions and provide assistance as needed/requested. Players will need their own dice or will need to utilize a rolling app. I do not expect each player to have their own rulebook, but it certainly does help.
What Wren brings to the table
I will provide digital assets for the game, sometimes maps, sometimes NPC images. Most of my work is done in 'theatre of the mind'. But there will be instances where I will provide additional items. I will also bring enthusiasm, music, and gamemaster experience!

How Wren creates a safe table
A Session 0 will be held to discuss characters, review table expectations and to ensure that all players have completed the safety checklist. We will also review safety tools that we will use, including the stoplight card system and X/O system. I will send a link to all players to a lines/veils document to be completed before the Session 0. Following each session, we will do decompression to go over our favorite scenes and actions of each player, as well as cover anything that might have left us feeling a bit vulnerable. I will also encourage stars and wishes from each player. Players can expect loose, fast paced combats and a lot of "yes, and" from my games. I tend to improvise a lot and allow characters to do things that feel cool and make them seem more heroic. Do you like Star Wars? Do you like role play? I'm a GM that likes to customize the campaign narrative to suit the stories and backgrounds of my player characters. I am frequently involving backstories and twisting knives that players provide for me. I'm big into action, adventure and roleplay. I encourage my party members to involve each other in scenes and play to each others' strengths. Watching players invest in your own stories and grow together is one of the joys of the game system. I will provide an overarching campaign narrative, as well as villains. You provide the action, some of the existing relationships between PCs and NPCs and I will do the rest! I tend to like to give some extra experience to my players, as well, to represent some of your character's previous exploits.
