About Claystorms

I’m a narrative-focused GM with 2-3 years of experience running tabletop RPGs, primarily D&D 5e. i have played as a player for twice that amount of time. I run games that balance strong roleplay and engaging, tactical combat, with an emphasis on meaningful player choice and real consequences. I’m a big believer in working closely with players to help tell an epic story together—your character’s goals, backstory, and decisions matter and actively shape the world. I put a lot of care into prep, often creating custom items, story hooks, and unique additions tailored to each character to make the game feel personal, rewarding, and memorable. Games that i can run. dungeons of drakkenheim homebrew campaign -itharion or something custom Curse of strahd. Witchlight carnival. however if you have something you would like to run that i dont have feel free to dm me. i will be more than happy to look at it and most likely run it for you my session hours i try to be reasoniably price.. for modules being $15 for 3-4 and a half hours depending on how long everyone wants to go.. $20 for 5 hours.. $25 for 6 hours. but most of the time.. i know this hobby is tough for those who dont want to pay an arm and a leg id be more than happy to work with you. Though i would recommend the 3- 4 4 and ahalf hour one for $15 if you have any questions concerns just ask. your future Dm- Clay

How Claystorms runs games

I focus on working closely with my players to give them an epic, memorable story. I run a solid mix of roleplay and combat, and I put a lot of care into making sure both feel meaningful and connected to the characters. I spend a lot of time outside of sessions finding or creating cool items, abilities, and story elements that fit the world and enhance each player’s character. I enjoy incorporating homebrew into my games when it makes sense and adds something fun or interesting, while still keeping things balanced. I’m flexible and open to player ideas, and I like rewarding creativity and smart decisions. Above all else, the biggest thing for me is that everyone at the table is having fun—that’s always the priority. The rules support the story, not the other way around.

I prep by

making or finding fantastic maps and integrating them into foundry vtt, im always on the look out for cool things to implement into tables. but the most i do is to make sure your character is connected to the story and make sure everyone has a fantastic time.

My games focus on...

player character details at the fore front. i want every game i run to make it seem like you are all connected to the story or world and not having your energy and time with your character jus a side piece in the overall world. i lean more on grim dark high fantasy, more hardcore rules.

Claystorms's ideal table

My games are character-driven, story-focused, and built around meaningful choices. I run a solid mix of roleplay and combat, making sure both feel connected to who your character is and the journey they’re on. I use homebrew systems like injuries, boons, and banes to add weight and consequence to decisions, but never at the cost of fun. These mechanics are there to enhance the story, not restrict it — the rules support the narrative, not the other way around. I spend a lot of time outside of sessions crafting custom items, abilities, and story elements that fit the world and help each character feel unique. Player backstories matter at my table, and I actively weave them into the campaign. I’m flexible, collaborative, and open to creative ideas. Smart plans, clever roleplay, and bold decisions are always rewarded when they make sense in the world. Balance matters, but creativity matters more. Above all else, my priority is simple: everyone at the table should be having a great time. If you’re looking for an epic, memorable story where your character truly matters, you’ll feel right at home.
