About Perkon Kan
Hello! Do you also want to play a game? Oh wondeful! Allow me to entertain you then. Let's start with some introductions shall we? You can call me Perkon, unless you can come up with a better name. I've been playing TTRPG games for 8 years now and running them for just over 5 years too. While I am no voice actor, I enjoy trying my darnest to give life to all my lil characters in a way that's memorable. I'm a fan of all parts of a TTRPG adventure. From the roleplay heavy sessions to the down-to-the-wire tactical combats. As long as my players are having fun, I'm having fun. I wish to create a space for everyone and anyone to feel comfortable and to enjoy themselves. If you feel like I could be your entertainment, please join me! I have but one question. How many kobolds could you take in a fight?

I became a GM because
there were too many ideas in my head. Story of too many characters I wanted to make that I simply could not play in enough games for. It was a selfish reason at first. But I recall the first time I ran a real game, how my players looked while they were having fun. It makes you want to keep going.
My favorite books are
a series of fantasy books, the name of which I'm too embarrassed to share. In which a whole different world exists, one where everything from dreams to ideas are made by people living separately from the rest. Where creativity isn't something you let go to waste, but something from which you live.
When I'm not running games I'm...
thinking about content I could add to any of my games, both the ones I run and the ones I play in. There's a lot in my head, even if it doesn't look that way, and I like to put it out there before I forget.
How Perkon Kan runs games
I like storytelling more than anything else. My favorite part of the game is when I get to enthrall my players enough to where they just start roleplaying between each other and I get to sit back and watch. Afterall, the players are the star of the show. Combat is important, but only as a means to tell a story, never on it's own. It's a way to introduce stakes into a situation, it's a way to create bonds between characters and proof of a shared goal. It's not a random encounter that leaves you indifferent.

My games focus on...
roleplay and storytelling before anything else. I want to make the world feel alive, I want to invest you in your characters and mine. I'm the happiest when my players care as much about boblin the goblin as they do for Father Kurlu.
Rules are...
important. Consistency is key. If you know how a spell works it'll always work that way, if you see a magic item take effect, it'll always be the same effect. I hate surprise mechanics, and I'll be very transparent with rules. If the rules are vague? We'll work them out together.
When it comes to voices
I really do try, I can only hope I'm good enough at them for your liking.
Perkon Kan's ideal table
I only want my table to be one thing, open minded. It doesn't matter if you haven't played before, it doesn't matter how comfortable you are with talking about a character in first person. All I care is for you to be there to have fun and let others have fun. I hope things can be as you expect but if they aren't? that's ok too!

I love it when a player
Roleplay amongst themselves without needing of my input. The moment you're comfortable enough with each other to not need me is the moment I know my players are having fun and are invested.
