About Joshua Van Wyhe
Having held the illustrious title of my friend group's Forever GM for almost 10 years, I have had the privilege to guide players through many perilous, hysterical, and drunken adventures. With a degree in poetry and a passion for writing, I love to bring my players' stories to life! One of my personal favorite expeditions was leading a group of players through the interwoven spy rings of the American Revolutionary War using the Genesys narrative dice system. I truly enjoy the collaborative storytelling that comes from rolling a few dice, and I always look for ways to help each player have their moment to shine. I also tend lean more toward the rule of fun and setting matched expectations with my players. All are welcome to my table regardless of ability, age, religion, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or other aspects of identity. My desire is to create a safe space where friendships can be forged. Hope to see you round the table!

How Joshua Van Wyhe runs games
I enjoy collaborative story telling most of all where my improv is put to test responding (almost always) with "yes and" to what my players cook up in their minds. I operate with the "rule of fun" allowing rules-as-written to be altered (somewhat) in the spirit of adding more fun. I value consent, clear expectations, and good communication. While the types of games that I run typically revolve around fantasy (Terrinoth, I also enjoy historical fiction (Ametican Revolutionary War) and modern fiction (John Wick). My favorite TTRPG system is the Genesys narrative dice system as it naturally encourages the story telling of players as they help interpret the dice pool.
