About CaptNapalm
I have been DM-ing on and off for ~10 years now and currently in the throws of my longest ever continual group which has been playing for coming up on 2 years straight. I have been playing TTRPGs for about the same amount of time, starting with the Monte Cook's Numenera, with a sprinkle of Call of Cthulu and Blades in the Dark. I have been absolutely loving DMing Dungeon and Dragons 5e with my own style of Rule of Cool mixed with RAW.

How CaptNapalm runs games
My philosophy when DMing is that the game of DnD is about rolling dice so my goal is to get the players to roll the dice as often as possible. The dice tell the story as much as the players do and because of that I am generally a Rule of Cool DM that allows for some crazier things to happen with good rolls and the use of player abilities. My favorite part of dnd has always been combat so that is where my focus generally is while DMing, with roleplay being a weaker point of mine that I try to work on in game.
