About me
Hi everyone!!! The name's Fruit (he/him). I'm a Spanish-based GM with close to a decade of TTRPG experience, and let's just say that what started as a group of high schoolers fooling around with some dice quickly spiraled out into a passion for worldbuilding and storytelling that has never really died down. My games have always centered around making my players's characters feel special and involved with the plot, and that includes creating custom storylines, designing specific homebrew, and adjusting the style of play so that everyone enjoys themselves at my table. Personally, I enjoy creating my own homebrew settings as I feel it helps with character integration, but I've been known to run prewritten modules and adventures as well as making games based on well-known books, TV shows, videogames, and more. In that regard, I'm also very open to direct requests from players and groups that already have an idea for a game and just need a GM to get it started. Last but certainly not least, I would like to make clear that I intend my games to be as much of a safe space as possible. To that end, I will provide safety tools as much as I can, and I will not take kindly to any type of discrimination at my tables.
GM Style
If I had to describe my GM style in a short concise way, I would probably go for that quote that said something like “Be your player character’s biggest fan”, as I really think that is the best way to create awesome stories through TTRPG’s. I have always enjoyed working with my players to build campaigns taking into account everyone’s expectations and ideas, as characters and stories tend to work out better when everyone has had a part in building them. As such, my games tend to focus on open worlds and open stories that leave space for character incorporation and place importance on the PC’s actions. This way of playing has generally brought me to a preference for sandbox style campaigns over pre-written modules, even if from time to time I do like to create more story driven games. As I mentioned in my profile, the settings of these games can vary wildly from established settings in a system, to complete homebrew, to the new show/game that has made me fall into a deep rabbit hole that I don't know how to escape from. Due to this, the amount of homebrew in the games also varies, but you can always expect to find a little bit of it here and there. In terms of gameplay, I tend to follow the rules of a given system, but the rule of cool definitely applies. I’m usually fairly open to ignore some rules and twist and bend stuff as long as everyone at the table agrees about it, as I sometimes feel it is not necessary to count each piece of ammunition for a ranged weapon or how carrying gold coins affects your encumbrance level. When it comes to the balance between exploration, combat and role-play you can expect a certain amount of variation depending on the game’s basic premise, but I tend to leave room for players to decide that on session 0 as much as possible.
