Hey there! I'm Iain, and I've been passionate about role-playing games for over twenty years. I've had the pleasure of running campaigns for small groups in person and online via Discord, as well as hosting one-shots with my local gaming crew. I'm familiar with a bunch of systems like Dungeons and Dragons, The World of Darkness, Call of Cthulhu, and my current favorite, Blades in the Dark. Lately, I'm also diving into Pathfinder—a bit of a D&D cousin—and I hope to start some games with it soon. I've been working on my own Campaign World, though like many DMs, it might stay a hidden gem forever! What I love about RPGS is the option for players to come together and share and create stories together. Creativity is encouraged, and I may bend the rules (in the players favour) if something strikes me as particularly fun. For that reason, I definitely fall into the Rule of Cool playstyle. I also have a passion for worldbuilding and enjoy working with players to develop their characters' backstories and incorporate small details that foster a sense of connection to the game world. My primary goal is always to provide an entertaining and engaging experience for everyone involved. I really believe in the value of play and fun, and I want to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone at the table. To do that, I like to use tools like Veils, Lines and Session 0—if you’re not familiar with these, I’d be happy to explain! I also want my LGBTQIA+ players to feel completely comfortable being themselves, and I won’t tolerate any discrimination or bigotry. My goal is for everyone to be the heroes (or at least the anti-heroes), not the monsters. I (also) really dislike having my picture taken—it's pretty obvious, huh!
