About me

Welcome one and all! I began my journey down the TTRPG rabbit hole in 2016 with Pathfinder 1e. I've been a die hard Pathfinder fan ever since. IT was the perfect hobby, combining my love for theater/acting, my love for story telling, and my love of video games. I started DMing in 2019 after experiencing multiple groups that fell apart due to scheduling conflicts or personality conflicts. I've been a forever DM ever since and I couldn't be happier. I've run games in person with pencil and paper and online using Roll20 and Foundry. I have run Pathfinder 1e/2e games as well as Dnd 5e and Monster of the Week. I pride myself in creating a fun and welcoming environment at the table. I love teaching new players and showing them how much fun TTRPG's can be. I consider all of my players friends and have been with the same groups for years. I have run multiple Pathfinder Adventure Paths to completion and I'm looking for my next chance to finish another one. I always incorporate character backstories into the adventure. It requires me to take some liberties but I always make sure the players are comfortable with how their character is developing. I prefer the "rule of cool/ fun" in most obscure situations but I'm also not afraid to be the bad guy if you push me. When starting with a new group, I like to do a module or short one shot first so that everyone can get comfortable with each other as well as their characters. I would never make a player stick with a character they weren't enjoying; I have actually killed off characters for this reason and allowed players to bring in a new character. It's one of the few times I actually kill off characters.

GM Style

I enjoy roleplay and the mechanics of combat. I would say my style tends to be about 30-40% roleplay and 50-60% combat with 10% being focused on the story and lore of the world/ NPC's. I determine the amount of focus on roleplay or combat based on the players and how they play. If my players aren't showing any interest in roleplay or story, than I would minimize those aspects. If the players didn't have as much interest in combat, I might eliminate some combats to give the story and NPC's more focus. I use milestone level ups in all my games which allows me to be flexible with encounters and avoid encounters that aren't relevant to the story. That being said, I enjoy a good tactical combat where players use strategic skills; it makes my job so much more fun. My voice acting skills aren't very good but I try my best with the 5 voices I can do. I am a very visual person so I tend to put a lot of maps, images, and art work in my games. I will show you as many visual representations as possible. I love to make the VTT experience as immersive as possible using things like background music and dynamic lighting. However, I try to avoid letting technical issues or complications take over sessions or cut into game time, but things happen sometimes.
