About Edgar
I´m a person that has come to love tabletop and role-playing games, also the fact that i can spend time with people and value their creativity to adverse situations makes me happy, i started as a player 2 years ago and now I run games for my friends at least 3 times a month, i´ve started GMing for like a year now and I´m looking for an opportunity to grow as a Narrator, Game Master, Voice Actor and Possibly an artist in this community.

I became a GM because
This way i see myself improving in a lot of ways artistically and it lets me connect with people outside of my city and or friend group, it´s fun all the time i meet someone that shares this passion.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Spontaneous Silly Passionate
When I'm not running games I'm...
Playing Video-games, spending time with my wife and thinking of ways on how to improve my campaigns since this is a passion that i can fortunately share with a lot of people all over the world.
How Edgar runs games
I´m a person that likes to give power to my players and at the same time look forward to giving them a challenge, I enjoy crafting encounters that challenge my players characters in different ways, sometimes an enemy has an absurdly high damage move but they're vulnerable to back attacks and can´t reliably turn around super fast, other times the enemy is really hard to hit but is easily countered by its stubborn and childish mentality , I usually give my players a technique or a weapon that is within the realm of reason that ¨umps¨ their character both in power and role-playing ability, also I´m big on the ¨rule of cool ¨ so if you come to me with an idea that seems reasonable and your character could theoretically do, then most of the time i would allow you to roll for it, examples that have happened in my table: 2 characters Parrying an enemy´s aoe attack by hitting it as hard as they can back to them 2 characters breaking a hanging axe trap by hitting it simultaneously Succeeding a constitution roll by ¨i curl myself into a ball and my cape seals my nose and mouth¨ Also as long as you speak to the characters in the world you will gain information, items and their bonds with you will affect the future of the campaign, i want the world to move even if the heroes affect it or not, also your backstories will be relevant to the missions and campaign so be prepared for some fun Backstory relevant role-play.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
they'd be found footage from the perspective of whoever was holding the camera at that time, it could be something that looks like Cloverfield by Matt Reeves
I prep by
Listening to Music appropriate to the setting, checking forums, making tokens and writing general ideas on where this could go, i know player agency and dice are the things that write the story i just control the setting and describe the outcome of their actions.
Rules are...
A great base for us to understand how this world should work, good thing I'm here to bend those rules a bit muahahahaha
Edgar's ideal table
People who are passionate about their character ideas, share a sense of humor and can find out of the box solutions to problems ahead of them, to be honest my ideal table would be full of people that can share great moments and walk away with a smile after the session ends.

I think metagaming...
can be dealt with however if you know something that the other players might not, try to be subtle about it, i can help you narrate their weakness depending on what you do to reveal it, also make it make sense hahaha, this is unavoidable once you have played a lot of games so keep that in mind .
I think min/maxing...
Is fun, i brew my encounters to test my players and their thinking ability, not everything will be solved by just punching the enemy and reducing them to 0 HP.
My table is not the place for...
¨Main Characters¨ you are part of a team, and that team is the main force in this world you will experience, you all can die at any time, you will fail, there are no chosen ones but that won't stop you from experience your story alongside wonderful people.
