Hi! I have been running games on and off for the past few years! My passion for games derives from the amazing possibilities for storytelling, creating personal communities and the psychological/emotional benefits that come from playing and running TTRPGs. I find I work best with beginner groups, can't wait to see you at my (virtual) table!

Shortly after I started playing Dungeons and Dragons I wanted to play some more and not many people were wanting to be the GM so I took on the role and ended up loving it!

My favorite movie of all time is The Little Mermaid! Shocking I know lol. I also really like Interview with a Vampire (the show and the movie) and I love watching Shoujo anime like A sign of Affection, Sailor Moon and Ouran Highschool Host club to name a few.

How Ariel runs games
I'm a relatively easygoing GM, hence why I work best with beginners, I try my best to teach the rules, however if I see that something would kind of break the rules but would be fun for the players (within reason) I let it slide. I also try to reach my players where they are at, giving them as many resources as I can as well as accommodating where they need it. The point of TTRPGs is to have fun and I always do my best to make sure everyone is feeling safe, comfortable having fun!

I prep by
I usually try to prep the main story beats before the campaign starts. Prior to sessions I prep by pulling up player character sheets, setting up enemy stat blocks, preparing the music, checking messages from players and setting up the VTT.
My games focus on...
I like to have a healthy balance of Combat and Roleplay but I will focus more on Roleplay if given the opportunity.
Ariel's ideal table
My ideal table would be people who are down to roleplay, to get to know the world around them and who are invested in the plot. I would also say that ideally my table would have people who are courteous and inclusive to others around them!

I love it when a player
I love when players come up with ideas or ways to reflavor fun things for their characters and involve me in the process of creating these things! TTRPG’s are about creativity and storytelling so I’m all for it!
My table is not the place for...
It’s definitely not the place for PvP where the intention is to kill another player character, and while I’m good with banter here and there, straight up disrespecting people/player characters is a no go. My table is also not the best place for Murder Hobos unless discussed previously of course.
