About Dan
I have been playing since the early 80's and running games in various systems since middle school. While I know the rules well, I love to have fun with a lively group and collectively tell a story. I mainly focus on D&D, but have also DM'd Marvel (FASERIP). I look forward to having fun with a good group looking to enjoy the game.

I got started GMing...
Because I wanted to play a game with friends and they hadn't played before. I was able to explain the game to them and work through our first adventure. I was hooked.
My favorite books are
Atlas Shrugged and Starship Troopers.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Working my full time job in IT, playing video games, or spending time with my family.
How Dan runs games
I like people to have fun, as these are games after all. So my first question to my players is "How do you want to play to have fun?" I know the rules pretty well, but also know when to bend the rules to have fun. This won't make things too challenging or too easy, just interesting.

My games focus on...
fun. We play these games to have fun. I love when people are creative and try new things or work out complex combinations of effects.
Rules are...
important, but flexible to tell a good story. Mostly, I like to stick to the rules. However, in the name of fun or narrative, rules can be bent.
Dan's ideal table
Collaborative. We are telling a story together. Want to try something? Let's figure out if there is a way to make it happen.

I love it when a player
is into their role-playing and enjoying their character.
I think min/maxing...
is fine, as long as that's what is fun for the player. Encounters can always be adjusted to provide a challenge. :-)
