About Kairax
I’ve played DND for coming up on almost 7 years. I started in high school and was lucky enough to find a friend who DM’d for me and a group of friends all through college and I’ve been lucky enough to get her feedback as I’ve been DMing for about the past 2-3 years. Now that I’m finishing up college I’ve had some free time to get into DMing for others and hopefully get new players to fall in love with the game like I did or for veteran players to hopefully find something fun and refreshing.

I got started GMing...
I started GMing first by running a couple one-shot adventures for our friends so our forever DM could take a break but then got my friends into my homebrew world Evandra, and have run about one and a half years worth of sessions IRL in that world.
My favorite books are
I fell in love with the fantasy genre from Tolkien's works and my favorite is probably LOTR but I also have enjoyed Goerge R.R. Martin's GoT books as well as The Shadow of What Was Lost by James Islington
When I'm not running games I'm...
I love watching movies and playing video games like replaying my favorite single player story games or sometimes competitive games like Marvel Rivals which is my current hyper fixation.
How Kairax runs games
As a DM I like to balance roleplay, exploration, lore, and combat. On average I like to try and run combat every other session possible but with story heavy sessions still being interesting and hopefully not keeping combat up for more than a few sessions. For combat I enjoy making tense, high stakes fights where you will need to make sure you use your class in a clever and useful manner either as the tank of the group or the caster. In terms of the roleplay of the game I try and engage with every player equally or at least as much as a single player wants to be engaged with and will make sure to use any background and character details that are added. Lastly in terms of rulings, if it’s cool sounding, and at least sort of believable, I like to work with the players to make it possible. Whether it’s a home-brew ruling or just something cool you and your fellow players came up with.
Kairax's ideal table
My ideal table would probably have one or two DND vets who have played a fair amount and could help me drive role-play and story. A couple players but haven't played too much but are really thirsty for some DND with really impactful combat and story moments. Lastly I think one or two new players are great to have at a table, they're the life blood of the game and I love seeing new players push the boundaries of the rules and ignore conventions that older players sometimes get sucked into. However, I enjoy DND with anyone and everyone no matter the level of experience.
