Hi there! I'm Edward & I'm passionate about memorable, fun-filled adventures. I've been an avid TTRPG player & GM for about two years. For me, TTRPGs are more than just a game—they're a fantastic way to connect with others, share laughs, and take a break from the everyday. It should be fun - for everyone! I will always be learning and improving, so I am always interested in constructive feedback on how I can make things more fun and learn from any mistakes I make. I enjoy games with a (slightly) darker & lower fantasy tone - systems & settings like Shadowdark, Warhammer & Drakkenheim. My timezone is GMT, or BST between April & October. When I'm not running games I'm...

Working! I work a difficult job, that involves working shifts. This means it's difficult to commit to days at regular times/days so flexibility is a must for me. Otherwise, I spend time looking after my two rescue greyhounds, playing RPGs in person with my friends or spending time with my wife.

How Edward runs games

My GM style is inspired by the legendary Professor Dungeon Master—focused, fast-paced, and always aiming to get straight to the good stuff. I believe that time is precious, so I strive to keep sessions dynamic and immersive, ensuring everyone has a great time without unnecessary delays. My role is to create dangerous & exciting problems for the players to resolve using their creativity and imagination. I like to defer to the rule of cool. I enjoy visceral combat & focused role-play to draw out interesting aspects of players characters onto the tabletop. Typically, I play online via Owlbear Rodeo, as I like it's easy to understand & use. I try and do voices(!!) and provide music to make it all come to life.

If you enjoy quick, shorter adventures. If you enjoy gritty combat & roleplaying that is relevant to the task at hand. If you don't really care about min-maxing, but care about developing a fun & interesting character that is fun to play & be part of a team. If you enjoy team work & being creative with friends. ...Then maybe you might like the way I run games!

Spoils the game and spoils the fantasy we are trying to create. You might as well play Game Shark the RPG if you want to be a total, unkillable badass! If that is your version of fun, great, but I'm not into it and I don't like seeing it in my players. Be true to you what your character is like!
