About Danny DM

Greetings! I welcome you to a guided tour of the imagination. Perhaps you may escape intact... My name is Danny, an American in his thirties. I have over a decade experience running TTRPGs with a focus in teaching new/inexperienced players how to play RPG systems and Virtual Tabletops (VTTs). My chosen RPGs would be (in order of skill): 1. Savage Worlds Adventure Edition 2. 5e (Tales of the Valiant, Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, Stargate SG-1, etc.) 3. Call of Cthulhu 7e 4. Fantasy AGE 5. Index Card RPG

How Danny DM runs games

My GM style would focus heavily on Roleplaying, Story, and impactful Combat. Horror and high-fantasy are my primary campaign and one-shot genres. While I believe in PC death as a real possibility, I do not kill PCs indiscriminately even in horror games (hey, even Lovecraft let his characters faint and awaken later unharmed... physically, that is). I prefer Theater-of-the-Mind but use tactical maps for more complex battles. The battles I run tend to be Fast, Furious, and Fun (nod to Savage Worlds). My main method of roleplay is online through Discord voice-chat and Fantasy Grounds (both of which players can join for free). Roll20 is also available as VTT that I have experience with. I love to teach RPGs to new and inexperienced players and have extensive experience doing so. If you or your group wish to inquire about a particular RPG system with which I am experienced, feel free to message me to schedule a learning session for you. Styles: Character Roleplay - 5/5 Combat - 4/5 Puzzles - 2/5 Exploration - 3/5 Lore - 4/5 Description - 4/5
