How YourFriendlyGM runs games
Wether we talk about Lore or Rules, I've got one principle. If it brings fun to the table it's good! For me all 3 pillars (Roleplay, Combat, Exploration) of TTRPG's are important. In my games I try to balance those, so you can experience full range of what RPG have to offer. When creating adventures in pre-existing worlds I take the existing lore as an inspiration and change things if needed. Thanks to that approach I can come up with ideas that can be more suitable to a specific group that I'm playing with. If I want to make some adjustments to the rules, I always talk with my players about them beforehand.
