About Darragh

Hi, my name is Darragh and I am the owner and head gamemaster of Clockwork Writings, a business with a passion for storytelling. I run both one-shots and longer campaigns in an original setting with roots in Celtic Myth and Victoriana stylings. Ash & Clockwork, is a system designed with player characters in mind, allowing for the freedom to choose but the responsibility of consequences. Using aspects of FATE and FATE Accelerated and a host of mechanics developed over 4+ years of playtests, the experience has been compared to stepping right into a book. Be you interested in a quick one-time session or a longer campaign the options and opportunities available are difficult to match. Get in contact today and see what might suit you. At Clockwork Writings we forge your Tale and set it ticking...

Writing. I built my system to better accommodate a world that I have been writing about for years. I enjoy storytelling in all its forms and GMing is just one of the ways I like to stretch the limbs of that experience.

How Darragh runs games

My GMing style is heavily roleplay-based, focusing on storytelling above everything else. With a heavy acting background and a gift for storytelling, I endeavour to make every session as engaging as possible, pulling you into the narrative and letting you experience the wild, wacky, and wonderful that occurs. Combat is available, however, it too is usually very story-focused, with clever approaches and interesting alternatives a very common occurrence. A hefty mix of laughter, tears, and cheers is not uncommon in one-shots. I often deal with darker and more adult themes, however, every session/ campaign begins with a discussion of lines and veils and offers the option of an X card to facilitate any possible issues.
