Professional game master and DM for over 5 years, player for decades. Almost guaranteed fun, with a bent for whimsy, jokes, side plots and and inside the game interests. A full library of rules and adventures and the occasional voice; my focus is on the players and their fun more than the rules per se. Want to ride that monster like a Bronco to defeat it vs hit it with a sword - give it a go. Especially strong with new players as I have taught hundreds from ages 7 to 70. How John Mosey runs games
It’s all about the players and their fun. Every table has a feel and somewhere it meshes in the first session and develops the chemistry over the next 5. Finding that sweet spot of fun and drama and adventure. The mood talks to us and we reflect it back. My job is to read the table and make sure everyone is included, having fun and getting their needs met. Oh, and run the game, but that’s the easier part. Well prepared and seemingly ready for anything the players should be the foreground, not the plot or the rules or the “winning.” We all win if we had fun, along the way, or something.
