How Soup runs games
I love a well-rounded party that can joke, get serious, and hit all the notes in between for satisfying and realistic representations of their characters. In addition I personally do run with a grounded, gritty style which not only helps with informing roleplay but also combat. My combats can be quite simple or extremely complex, with the risk of said battles completely based on the expectations set. You can certainly outhink, outmanuever, and outroll your enemies... but poor planning against an intelligent foe can lead to your death.
