About Wick
Howdy! My name's Leo but I also use wick. I recently just turned 22 actually! Ive been a longtime player of dungeons and dragons 5th edition for 4 years and pathfinder 2nd edition for 2. Having Ran a couple of my own games in that span as well in my own homebrew world I have been steadily developing with the actions of the players affecting the future plot of the world. By this point ive run about 7 campaigns in this world. As a dm however I tend to be a little looser with rules and am a big fan of homebrew, for I view the base rules as a set of tools to help make a fun experience, meaning I will let players do many out of the box expressions to solve issues while also giving them interesting tools to use in ways I never could have imagined I am a big fan of certain media that have some place in my world, examples of such include project moons aspect of egos, distortions, and abnormalities. Lisa the painful's, undertales soul aspects for humans and so much more With the above mentioned id like to note im a rather accommodating person, above board and in game I will have tools to achieve most goals for pcs to pursue. My ultimate goal with running games is to give my players an experience theyd have nowhere else. And so far the people ive run for have agreed

I became a GM because
I became a gm because after seeing so many people making something unique and showing it to others for them to be inspired just as it happened to me, i wanted to be the reason someone else could be inspired and have as hype and memorable moments during an experience you couldn't get anywhere else
My favorite shows/movies are
Well while I dont watch too many movies or shows lately, I am a big fan of games that wrap around a ongoing story from previous games or media like lisa the painful, library of ruina and limbus company, jujutsu kaisen and its manga sequel jujutsu modulo. just to name a few!
When I'm not running games I'm...
When im not running my games, i tend to think about the overarching plot and actions of my players to think of ways to tie everything together seemlessly and to think retroactively what players liked enganging with during session and what they didnt
How Wick runs games
I am an adept voice actor, utilizing about 10 different accents so far, with more personality coming with tone which I use to differentiate each npc, in addition I quite enjoy tying roleplay into the story and allowing it to de-escalate hostile scenarios and turn a deadly fight into an oppurtunity for a powerful friend Notably I tend to avoid any ai generated images when making tokens for enemies or npcs. As I quite enjoy commissioning artist for pieces for them, mainly for important npcs or for main villains As for my combat/rp/exploration ratio It varies on the group I play with, but commonly the ratio tends to be 40/40/20, I try to have a combat each session or some mechanical activity in relation to exploration and plenty of opportunities to roleplay, allowing for opportunities to make allies who can help make your journey through my worlds easier Exploration wise, alot of my campaigns have such themes baked into them, exploring places of unknown and having to utilize you and your party members expertise to survive in such treacherous lands To wrap things up i will say the following. I will do my best to make your character feel well integrated in this world. Allowing for each character to have a fleshed out reason to be where they are.

I prep by
I prep by mapping out the general things i wish to establish within the story, looking into interesting monster lore and figuring out which would work together and interact with their environment. making each area feel lived in, whether by common beast or by a society that can be reasoned with
Rules are...
To me rules are a device to have order amdist the chaos, but not the be end and end all of all things, Im more of a rules as intended game master than a rules as written, and will occassionally bend the rules if it will allow for a more interactive and fun experience overall
When it comes to voices
When it comes to voices i do my best to make every npc unique enough to make it so that they can be differentiated without me having to clarify after some time of introduction,
Wick's ideal table
Experienced players wanting to have a new experience with new powers and enemies to face with abilities that can be interacted with like puzzles as well as players who are able to get into character and stay in character while interacting with npcs. those who do will find most may have useful information and mayhaps might have a common goal with you. making allies is encouraged at my table, as i wish to promote and establish a collaborative environment within my tables

I am for a vibe that's...
Id like a table with the vibe of teamwork and teaching, seeing people keep others in line in a friendly way and teaching is nice, seeing as im also still learning as a dungeon master, im of the thought that your never too experienced to learn
I love it when a player
I really enjoy when a player of mine finds a way to de-escalate a hostile situation into making a future ally, it allows me to think of encounters as more than just a checklist of combat sequence, rp situation, exploration activity by flipping it on its head
I think min/maxing...
I think min maxing is fine honestly, as long as you work with me to make it make sense in lore and arent being standoffish with npcs and other players because you are the pinnacle of strength
