About Felipe, the First Quill

I've been consistently playing TTRPGs since I was introduced to the then newly released D&D 5e in 2014. Since then I've played and DM'ed many other systems, such as the Avatar Legends RPG, Star Wars by FFG, Vampire: the Masquerade, and others.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

Vampire: the Masquerade, 2014 D&D 5e, and Avatar Legends.

My favorite books are

The Spellmonger Series, The Mistborn Series, and The Summoner Series

When I'm not running games I'm...

Working, playing video games, or creating stories. I'm writing a book and learning programming for game development.

How Felipe, the First Quill runs games

I love epic story telling. Grand stakes, political intrigue, and dark tones. I tend to keep homebrew to a minimum, preferring to stick with RaW (Rules as Written) as much as possible. I will allow pretty much anything roleplaying wise, as long as the rest of the table is comfortable. If a player does want to use something that's homebrew (class, race, spell, item, etc.), said player will have the chance to convince me and show that it will add positively to the collective experience of everyone in the table (I'm easy to convince lol).

My games focus on...

Political intrigue, moral decisions, and often sacrifice.

Rules are...

Guidelines that make for a fun game. I don't like changing them unless the game calls for it.

When it comes to voices

I always try to spice things up with accents. I may not do these accents well, but I enjoy doing them nonetheless.

Character Development

I love it when a player

Comes with goals they want their character to strive towards each session.

I think min/maxing...

Is awesome. I'm a "min/max"-er. Sorry, not sorry.
